Parents receive concrete strategies for developing healthy parenting styles, establishing appropriate and realistic expectations, responding to, and managing their child’s needs and behaviors, and developing norms for healthy family communication and teamwork. Once parent completes set of classes recommended, they will receive certificate.

Monthly classes that build adult life skills. Focused on one concentrated area a month. Free to the community. View on Classes page or email to schedule your own with the Director!

Starr Resources offer 2 assessments; Parental Fitness Assessment & Domestic Violence Assessment. Both assessments help us determine which services will best serve you and any participating family members!

Monthly classes surrounding character building. Examples include self-love, mindset, learning your purpose, etc. Board approved only. View classes on class page or inquire about a specific topic via email.

Classes that assists individuals in gaining a better understanding of their emotions, managing stress more effectively, improving coping skills, and dealing with conflict. (Standard set of 10, maybe recommended more due to situation) Anger Management Classes are court approved.

We provide Financial Assistance to parents facing financial hardships. Assistance can be used for rent, mortgage, lights, and or water bill. Must have employment or recently lost employment through no fault of your own. Dependent on availability of funds. First come first served.  Can only receive funds once every 6 months. Must be a parent. Must take a set of parenting or life skills classes free of charge. Class types depends on situation. Must reside in serving County. Financial Assistance is only provided when funding is available.

Classes are dependent on what is needed from the Domestic Violence Assessment & comes with a certificate.
